BUT, I have one quibble. When I'm watching the show, time is tight. It's just before post time and there's plenty of handicapping to do. I can do without all the non-racing small talk about wine, food, or anything else Andy and Anthony are kibbitzing about.

Just keep it tight and to the point, guys.
The kibbitzing is part of what makes it MORE enjoyable for me. To each their own.

Thanks, I agree.

If we don't have time to joke around, we will be all business, but if there's time, like today, we like to kid around a little bit. At some level, it is entertainment. I won't joke around at the expense of giving, at least what I believe is, valuable information.

Harvey Pack called it “gobbledygook”….meaning wordy and generally unintelligible jargon. Most of the boomers tune in for the picks and dry humor. It works and the show is successful. Not for me though. To each their own.

I'm nearly certain if this is a spelling bee word and the contestant asked for language of origin, it isn't going to be Arkansian.

Talking Horses with a cup of coffee is an excellent way to kick off a day of action. All handicappers should consider including the show as part of their handicapping toolbox. My one gripe is when Andy gets out of hand picking on The Big A. Anthony was displayed the patience of a Saint at times. Placed in the same circumstances I would have been fired long ago.

Televised horse racing reached its artistic zenith with Paul Lo Duca hitting baseballs into the infield lake at Hollywood Park.

I agree with everything you said. And the Big A has some real thick skin.

I understand the frustration with Anthony talking about the speed in the race without him using pace figures, and the "tips".

Anthony can give it out too, if you heard him on HRRN with Bobby Neuman back in 2021.
