I used to make custom vehicle pulleys till the recession of 2008 killed off my customer base. What type of aluminum are they made from? 7075 can corrode easily if exposed to moisture, 6061 holds up better cosmetically but is not as durable. If you are going to put a decent amount of mileage on it I would consider hard anodize. You can get it in a host of colors except for clear, clear anodize turns the parts a light grey. There used to be a lot of low quality pulleys on the market due to the limousine and custom car boom pre 2008. Did you check them for runout and alignment? When I designed kits
I used straight edges and lasers to insure proper fit.
