I didn't know Joanied other than the Joanied I knew from reading her posts on this site that were always upbeat and cheery, and yet I feel as though I've just learned of the passing of an old friend. I could be wrong but I seem to remember her as being the one who was trying to mend a wounded owl back to health at one point, or something like that. Her good nature, her love and respect for all living things, and her desire to live her life as she wanted are some of the qualities that made her such a wonderful person. I hadn't seen her post recently, and I wondered why at times as she always did seem at home here, but it's very sad to know that I won't see her here again. My condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace good soul.

RIP JOANIED, I had been wondering where she went to and thought of sending an email to see what was going on. Friends we make on the internet and in this forum are a special kind. I liked her and I will miss her.

Even when things got sort of dirty and ugly the way they tend to on the internet, joanied was somehow able to be the joint's one person counterbalance to all of that. That's a hard job to fill and knowing that it was missing just in this website context, I can only assume she's missed even more for all the same reasons by those that knew her in life. I imagine that she's one of those good ones that makes it easy on others by genuinely having a life to celebrate when it gets easy to simply mourn.

Joanie at her best:

Oh...we'll take tomorrow off and I think we'll load up the dogs in the car and drive up near Yellowstone Park, stop at one of our places on the Yellowstone River and get some R&R...once the farming really gets going, it's almost impossible to get a day off all summer long...24/7, kinda like the race track!! I'll think about you when we're chillin' near the river and looking up at the mountains

I did not know her other then reading post and replies.. but she seemed like a warm and very caring person.

Through our posts, Joanie and I shared our love of Wyoming a few times over the years, and I am grateful this forum brought us together in that way.

The theme of this thread has been one of appreciation for her perpetually kind and gentle nature, something I know I personally lack far too often.

Like all of us here, I will miss her.
