One of the funniest people in show business.
The Smothers Brothers Show was my all-time favorite show for years, making a huge impression on this then young teenager. Then came Super Dave Osborne and then Curb Your Enthusiasm -- all legendary comedies.
RIP Bob Einstein, you'll be missed.

A few rarities pertaining to the deaths of The Captain, Mean Gene and Super Dave ...
All three died on the very same day. Many believe in the 'death in threes' thingy but many die within weeks of one another and not on the same day.
All three were 76 years of age.
All three basically were played second fiddles, despite their immense talent:
Mean Gene was 2nd fiddle to Bobby (The Brain) Heenan
The Captain was 2nd fiddle to Toni Tenille
Super Dave was 2nd fiddle to his more famous, better known brother Albert Brooks. As been discussed many times here on PA, Bob Einstein was lengths better and funnier than Brooks.
RIP to all three.

I ran into Super Dave outside the elevator of the Rio Hotel in Vegas. He was very nice and polite and acted surprised that i knew who he was. This was probably 92. A very funny man.
