Very curious. No announcement was made as to why and nobody seems to know what has happened. Track conditions appeared to be good and weather was warm and sunny.

Tues 02-11-2020 -- Turf Paradise cancelled races 3,4,5,6,7,8.
I called Turf Paradise and spoke to someone in the racing office who confirmed they had about a quarter inch of rain in the 24 hrs leading up to today's card and cancelled after race two because of unsafe track conditions.

I did some further research.
A look at a Maricopa County weather data page shows that several weather stations in the immediate vicinity of Turf Paradise recorded similar rainfall totals for the 24 hrs leading up to the Tues 02-11-2020 racecard:
Between 0.63 and 0.67 inches.
That's a little higher than the quarter inch from my previous post - and provides better context for why Turf Paradise cancelled races 3,4,5,6,7,8 on Tues 02-11-2020.

Dover Downs has canceled racing for Thursday evening (March 12) after discussion with DSOA and DHRC representatives.
This precautionary measure is in light of the current situation in surrounding racing jurisdictions and does not impact racing beyond Thursday as plans are to resume racing Monday, March 16.
