Grunder Alert
I love the guy, my favorite announcer, but the 9th at Tampa today could present a problem - two sets of horses with name that could make for an interesting stretch call.
4 -Bella Ciao
6 -Molto Bella .
2 -Into the South .
9 -Into Trouble

As they've left the gate in the Gasparilla Stks just now, Grunder announced that they were off in the 35th running of the Pasco

He also called the 10 moving to the lead at the start when it was actually the 11. The 10 was dead last. I'm going to have to watch again to see if he also called the 10 as "the last horse away is..."

Well at least he has 10-11 horses to call in a race! I'm sure it would be a lot easier with only a 5-6 horse field.

As a jocks agent in MN in the summer he has been fined numerous times for blowing a gasket in the race office. Cussing stewards etc etc

Does he at least get their names right? I'd say it's maybe 50/50.

That was a good call. Brought back memories with dean Kutz riding house account. He was really good friend that left this earth way too early. Very under rated rider

Really????
I worked as the Stakes Coordinator at Canterbury from 1995-2000. He was one of the top agents there and always nothing but a gentleman.

Is it possible that the alleged conduct occurred sometime from 2000-2018?

I know. He is a good guy. But I guess the last couple years he's been on the muscle lol. I ran across those rulings on the MRC website while I was looking for a ruling on something. There were at least two just in the last half of the meet. I don't think I went any earlier than that. Kind of lost his composure for a time it sounded like. Anyway quick question. Do you have any idea what happened to Rick McCumber. Where he is now what he's doing?
