If I did that I would spend more money on pens than wagers....

in my prime i preferred a green or blue paper mate flair.
Some of my happiest recollections of racing are from back in the day when I did lots of work with a red Flair pen and a calculator.

I use different colors for different things....dark blue for preliminary, green for information from Formulator, light blue for pedigree info, red for replay work, and purple for final thoughts. I also use some of those colors for Timeform info.

It makes the information easier to identify, especially on air.

Or these for writing more than just a few notes.

Use those and also have the Pilot G-2 extra fine 05's in assorted colors.

And like Green 80, I rotate colors only when I'm looking for a change in luck.

Man, that was a fun day. We talked about pens and pedigrees all day...

I'm still pissed that we didn't play an exacta with our 2 longshots in the Manhattan...

I hit the one turf race big then got on cruise control and went into social mode. Looking back I missed 3 big odds that day including the winner and exacta on the Manhattan! Arrggghhh!

Thanks everybody, going to try some of your choices.

BTW here's a choice for the last day of the meet, last race (10th) at Keeneland.
C J's Lilly FTS, rider change to Osorio, 8-1 ML
