Pretty sad - the alleged flagship of the game fails at Racing 101.
Betting on College track seems to be a better proposition.....they seem to have cracked the mysteries of timing where T-Breds area exposed as amateur hour.

Belmont also jacked up the times of the feature today, now have posted "hand times". Isn't that just grand?

Unfortunately the Vanity was NOT timer error, just a joke of a "race".

I don't mind it.. knowing which one is correct is more advantage YOU

As a bettor I agree. It can just be frustrating when it is your job. I have plenty of work to do already without having to figure out which times are right and which are wrong.

To be fair, it is better to have a back up like NYRA does than just having one bad time. I'd rather just have one correct time from every track though.

Although this thread continues to be helpful (and monitored by Equibase), I'd like to ask/remind everyone that if you see an issue with a chart (beaten lengths/position, rail, run-up, fractional times) you think should be looked into, please email feedback@equibase.com and it will be forwarded to the appropriate party for review.

Thanks!

I am closer every day to an Uber driver career. Now Belmont can't even be trusted to time races properly. Probably been like this all along but more people notice now.

How much do you pay for the QA?

This is the thing that has long bugged me. If you make your own figures and a race (fraction or final time) sticks out badly from the rest of the card, it signals to you to take a better look. That's especially true if they are higher quality more consistent horses. But what about all the races that are a couple of fifths off. Those will generally look close enough to accept, but some of those could easily be wrong also.

My guess is more are wrong than are correct. It is blatantly apparent to me no on in the industry cares or is capable of correct timing. Quality Control is absent from this game.

It really is a good thread. I try to catch as many as possible, but I've received lots of help from several people both in this thread and privately. I appreciate everyone but want to give special mention to RXB. If I were my own company I'd hire him tomorrow
