Press conference with the head honcho running the operation. Pretty good info. A small oil slick has been found in the direct vicinity of where the four pingers were detected. That area is also directly under where the last "handshake" was made between the aircraft and the satellite. So even though they haven't found any wreckage yet, I sense hopefulness from the transcript that they are getting near to finding the plane. They are sending out a deep water vehicle to look at the sea bottom as I type.

It's unfortunate that in this day and age so much time was wasted guessing where to look. The more expensive high-tech equipment being used will eventually be phased out and unfortunately it may never be found. The suspected area of the ocean is simply to vast and deep.

Australia getting close to calling off search for MH370.
I have to wonder if scientific advances will improve enough in our lifetimes so that we are alive when the plane is found. The Titanic went down in April of 1912 and found in September 1985.
