CNN has been a disgrace as a news channel for years.
Now they just a plain old disgrace.
What' next, a context to see how man body parts are found?

How could anyone with any journalistic integrity work for them?

Aliens from another planet came to Earth seeking intelligent life.
They met Big Ed and concluded there was none here so they left.

Some aviation expert (or whatever) at Fox News this morning mentioned a 747 that was lost and never found owned by South African Airways in the 1980's.
There was indeed one that disappeared in the Indian ocean, but was eventually recovered although no bodies were found. Just curious what he was referring to. There were a few planes lost and never found, but occurred much earlier in aviation history.

wasn't the movie "Close Encounters" based on that? Been awhile.

The only one I could find was found, so don't know what that "expert" is saying. They even recovered the flight recorder at 16,100 feet of water. Appears to have been a cargo fire from a pallet of computers.

I believe that was the one he was referring to. He simply got it wrong. I'm sure I didn't hear him wrong, because the host asked him if there had ever been a plane go down and never found and he mentioned that one.

I wasn't insinuating that you heard it wrong. Honestly, I can't think of one plane since 1960 that wasn't found, even small ones. Ships seem to go missing at a higher rate than planes do. The Titanic was found like 70-80 years after the fact, and they knew where it went down.

FYI.

Look at the bottom of the wiki page from the link immediately above. There is a link to another wiki page for VDRs and CVRs never found.

I understand, I didn't think you were. The following appears to be the last airliner of any size that disappeared and never located. 93 soldiers were lost.

This is a complete list of all recorded disappearances :

Mystic, don't take it personally, however, if it wasn't for the tragic nature of these events that 'hope beyond hope' would be a joke.

For 3 days, battle-hardened sailor's from the USS Indianapolis were able to survive but with horrendous losses from those that survived the sinking.

We're looking at ten times the amount of time and with civilians. No food, no fresh water.

The 'miracles do happen' statement borders on cruelty.
