No Mazur and Bannon at Woodbine

I checked out Woodbine for the first time this season and was disappointed to see the track is no longer offering Jim Mazur's trainer angle sheets and Jim Bannon's horse by horse analysis. Anybody know why they cut long-time ties with these well-respected handicappers?

Their long-term goal of mediocrity?

Mediocraty! huh

Are you kidding, HPIbet platform is a piece of SHIT. Lets target the $2 bettor, who cares if the guys pumping the real dollars can't get their bets in. Incredibly bad. Why do they think the betting app needs to replace the racing form? Only a useless bunch of out of touch insiders could foist this ill conceived garbage on a captive audience. Oh ya, and about that CAPTIVE. I AM SO UPSET I AM SERIOUSLY CONTEMPLATING A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM. THEY ILLEGALLY CONSPIRE WITH THE COMPETITION TO PREVENT CANADIANS WITH ANY ALTERNATIVE ADW. HERE I COME WOODBINE. PUT YOUR INBRED(WHITEBREAD)LAWYERS ON CALL, THE LAWSUIT IS PECULATING

You are not wrong. HPI is a joke. They even have an additional takeout on a lot of bets you make.

For Example yesterday at Canterbury R8 the pick 5 on hpi paid $1213.50

I checked the results on Equibase paid $709.20 for $0.50 so $1418.40 for $1.00

Same on the TVG Site. $1418.40 for $1.00

You get $215.10 less for the same result. That is almost 15% they are taking, not quite sure how that is legal. I hope you do file a lawsuit against them.

i believe they must apply whatever takeout they are bound to with their agreement with the horsemen. So, if the takeout on a tri is higher at woodbine than the track you bet, they adjust the takeout. This can work the other way as well. In this case it is the horsemen that could care less for the punter.
The MAJOR problem is the lack of competition, Woodbine wants you to think this is not changeable. IT IS. IT IS ILLEGAL. IT WILL END.

Ladies and gents, let's see if I've got this straight.

The Racing Industry's source of revenue is wagering and they'd like to make it LESS about the REVENUE?

This is like watching Shark Tank when one of these left-wing nut jobs comes. The story goes something like, "We've been in business for 3 years and burned thru $4 million in investor money and we want you to come on board to make it work. BTW, we're not about profit."

If only horse racing's revenue stream was about wagering on the racing product.

The truth is, for a lot of tracks, the revenue stream is about the slots subsidy.

If you spend your time watching Shark Tank AND you're analyzing the political beliefs of those on the show based on how much investor capital they're spending, you might need to get a life Boomer.

Off subject

None of these answers has anything to do with my original question about why Jim Bannon and Jim Mazur are no longer on Woodbine's handicapping site. If ou want to discuss HPI, please start another thread.
