A little north country secret: "Minnesota nice" is a local term of art that doesn't mean what it sounds like to the uninitiated. It reflects the Scandinavian culture originating with early settlers in the region. It means people are very polite and pleasant to your face, but passive aggressive if they don't like you.

From that NYT article, reflecting real Minnesota nice:

Quote:
On Capitol Hill, Ms. Klobuchar’s reputation is not all sweetness and light; she is said to be brutal to work for. A survey of senators by the website LegiStorm found that from 2001 to 2016, her office had the highest turnover, which earned her a prominent mention in a Politico article headlined “The ‘Worst Bosses’ in Congress?” (By 2017, two colleagues — John Kennedy of Louisiana and Chris Van Hollen of Maryland — had surpassed her.)

High personnel turnover? You never see that in Washington.

The term used was "brutal to work for".

But she is at the top of the class in that category, so maybe she is qualified. Maybe she could even top the turnover in the Trump administration.

This should come as a surprise to... well no one... actually:

Russia's propaganda machine discovers 2020 Democratic candidate Tulsi Gabbard

She's a weird one... gets strange love from the isolationist right while being extremely progressive at home.

He can't campaign in California.
They won't let him go west of the San Andreas fault.

One sure way to guarantee another four years for Trump would be to allow Cortez to run.

I say let her. Make her a constitutional exception. I approve.

I have an idea - let TRUMP run in 202... as a DEMOCRAT.
Can you imagine all the debates?

That sounds cool, but when they do the democrat convention next time some signage walking around will do the same thing.

I think she is another medicare for all with the crowd, now I could be wrong and its early. If it is the case the other commies will eat her up for lunch, I will offer more on that soon enough.
