By the points only 2 horses from the early Futures pool will make the Derby. Those who were lucky enough to have Ride On Curlin and/or Cairo Prince are sitting in the catbirds seat. They just have to make it to post to cash in on the exacta futures. The rest are all field horses for those who took the short price in the pool and now have 18 live horses. As long as Ride On curlin or Cairo Prince don't win. Those who dutch and have the $$$ can almost guarantee walking away with a profit as long as Cairo doesn't go off too short.

I have a $5 ex wheel - Field over all
Cost $115.

I will spend $50-80 insuring Cairo Prince and Ride On Curlin, to lock up a profit between $400-1000.
