British rider Lewis Ferguson sustained only a scratch on his nose from a spectacular fall negotiating the last jump while riding the favorite during a steeplechase race at Wincanton Race Course in Somerset, England. According to the replay, he appears to have actually been in the process of trying to dismount the horse prior to the jump (perhaps because he believed that the horse was not in proper position to clear it?), but couldn't get off in time.
