Why haven't they detonated one yet then?
What good is a "secret" nuclear deterrent?
You keep dodging this. Trump doesn't think they have one.
If they aren't going to use them to "light up Israel" they must be meant to deter attack right?
THEN YOU WOULDN'T KEEP IT SECRET YOU HAVE THEM.

Theirs isn't a deterrent, that's why.
If and when they feel they need to turn it into a deterrent, you'll be the first to know about it.
And like they need MORE sanctions, which would most certainly arrive should they conduct a big ol' nuclear test.
Perhaps they went the turnkey solution and never needed to test anything. That's another very plausible angle.

Then what is it?
You just said they aren't going to light up Israel...
You're the one taking a position NOBODY in any position to know is taking.

Like what?
One guy arguing Iran already has the bomb but can't answer why they wouldn't test one?
Or you who wants to bomb bomb bomb Iran but makes excuses for the POTUS when he doesn't?
The pink lines are the ones in your head.

He answered that. You ignored it.
As usual.
That is exactly what I meant....
The Pink line is real - are yo denying that?
And wanting to bomb them and understanding why it is not the best idea is something - logic - I don't expect from you, Captain Distraction!

I don't know where you get this stuff.
Besides, they've had nukes for quite some time now...only ely and a handful of naive other folks believe "inspectors."

Not for one minute can I agree with you on this, sometimes a squirrel finds a nut, Ely reasoning is dubious at best. Iran does not have Nukes but will soon if we let hacks rule the roost. I know where I get this stuff, admittedly it is old being out of the loop for ten years. But back then I worked on every program that was current at the time, and those around me were always dropping the same word "Tinker". Sure we had bean counters dropping Fbombs from 8 AM till 6 PM non stop but they knew absolutely nothing. You will drop a jaw when they get rugs set on fire.

So Iran is secretly keeping nukes? Despite nobody on the planet saying that? But they can't even find out if they work? Because of sanctions? And they have no intentions of using them offensively? And they can't use them as a deterrent? But they still have them?
That makes no ****ing sense except in the wild minds of conspiracists.
Trump says they don't have them. Is he a liar?

Iran wants nukes because of the "Axis of Evil" speech and because the United States invaded and occupied two of its neighbors.
Pointblankperiod.
Once they have them they have a nuclear deterrent that makes them relatively untouchable. We won't risk Jerusalem, Riyadh, Tel Aviv or any other place being glassed to start a conflict with them.
This is no different than North Korea and why the military option has been essentially off the table since 2006.
If they have one they will detonate it. Their bargaining position is stronger, not weaker, with nuclear weapons.

You do realize you can't be correct 100% of the time.
What if you got this one wrong? I mean, we HAVE seen you WRONG before.
I know, hard to believe, right?

When cable transmissions fly so will the IAF.

The key thing you two have in common is that you both think they are humans who rationalize normally.

I'm not always right but this stuff isn't quantum mechanics.
Deterrence is deterrence and the rules of brinksmanship haven't changed the past 2.5 years AFAIK.
You're asking me to believe Iran has spent over a decade pissing off the international community at great harm to itself. To then acquire the weapon and CHOOSE not to leverage its existence for any tactical or strategic or economic purpose whatsoever.
Makes no sense.
This is Dr. Strangelove stuff... if you have it you tell everyone.
