If Kavanaugh was to drop out, or be dropped, do you think that the next nominee would have any less respect and support for the Bill of Rights, including the 2nd Amendment?

What evidence is there that Kavanaugh would cost GOP votes? The polls don't show it.

And again this was easily avoidable by switching nominees. Battles fought over RvW and Executive Privilege were part of the original calculus. Sexual assault not so much.

It's really not rocket science and there's an election in 45 days.

Take a setback and turn it around and go on offense... that's what should have happened and it's too late now but that was the play.

While its great you doubt that you can simply remove the doubt.
the only baggage he has is that he is too far right for dims to like and feels that laws should be made in Congress, not by executive orders - they will do the same crap for anyone nominated - pull some fabrication out of their hat/ass

You've heard the story about the boy who cried wolf right?

I'm not saying he was a bad pick. He wasn't. Now he is.

We aren't talking about the same thing. I'm referring to whether or not presidents can be indicted. It's not really a partisan issue.

And Roe isn't the important case. Casey overcame the restrictions imbedded in Roe.

And, once again, I will point out Kavanaugh is a huge believer in stare decisis. He not only claimed in the hearings, you can see it in his opinions on the DC Circuit.

He is as good as the pussy hat wearers are going to get

So, executive privilege is now a parsed benefit?

Uh huh. As long as it was in your Lord and Savior Pres Obama's benefit....it's all good.

Got it.

Is this the type of crowd that you hang with? Holy crapola!!

I do not think so. The creepy porn lawyer Avenatti has some other women who on Wednesday night are going to come out and reveal Kavenaughs friend Judge used alcohol and drugs to gang rape passed out women.

I saw his press event. He claims it was a regular event that they drugged women and committed gang rapes and everyone knew. A bunch of highly educated rich girls were gang raped all the time but no one ever said a word about it. Maybe he will get called away to present at the adult film awards and we won't have to be subjected to this parasite.

From an article at "The Federalist":

Quote:
The rubber is about to meet the road for Senate Republicans. They have a simple choice: they can vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, thereby ending the baseless and unsubstantiated Democrat- and media-fueled smear campaign against him, or they can kiss House and Senate majorities goodbye for the next decade, if not longer.
...

Republican lawmakers have to understand that their voters have zero patience for their excuses for not doing what they promised. It’s why they elected Trump in the first place. Republican senators failed to repeal Obamacare after promising to do so for years. That was strike one. They’ve steadfastly refused to secure the border, let alone build a barrier along the most porous sections of the nation’s border with Mexico. That was strike two.

A refusal to vote to confirm Kavanaugh in the face of a blatantly obvious Democrat smear campaign, orchestrated in concert with a compliant and obscenely partisan national media, will be strike three, and there will be no more at-bats. I have spent a career working in and covering politics, and I have never witnessed the kind of anger among rank-and-file GOP voters generated from a combination of the unsubstantiated Democrat attacks on Kavanaugh and the flaccid response of emasculated Republicans.
