So is "negro" okay to use now? I have negro friends? My niece is half negro? If the winds are changing I need to know so I don't commit a faux pas and speak improper political correctness. I missed the Asian train once and accidentally insulted someone's sensibilities by calling a Japanese person an oriental. I thought the person was going to faint. All my oriental rugs had to be thrown out because I didn't want people to think me racist.
