They have to find them first. Do you think the FBI is going to be investigating petty amounts of money wired from an account opened by someone with ID showing him to be a citizen?

Maybe they wouldn't....(and I am not saying this is the answer anyway) but, they may not be able to find the person wiring the money but they sure as hell can easily find the money through which the wire went through (such as Western Union). Tax them (if that's what the goal is) and they can pass it along to their "consumer" .....

The issue, from a post several pages back, was:
Quote:
Taxing money wired to Mexico by non U.S. citizens is certainly the answer to building the wall.
|
I can't imagine that the government would ever try to implement such a tax, but clearly there are easy ways to get around the government knowing the sender is not a citizen.

Back to the way government works... not gofundme...
Trump finds himself isolated in shutdown fight
Quote:
President Trump is finding himself increasingly isolated less than a week ahead of a potential government shutdown, as even members of his own party admit that he has backed himself into a corner with his demands for $5 billion in funding for a wall on the Mexican border.
|
Quote:
Few Republicans will criticize Trump on the record, but behind the scenes there is frustration that he has weakened the GOP’s negotiating position with Democrats. There is also a sense that Trump might not be worried about the fallout for his party if his own supporters delight in his fighting with Democrats.

He makes for good if not comical reality TV... not much else.
How is the GoFundMe doing? Should I save cans for a drive or something?

Yeah, what's really funny is how you chowder-heads waste your time talking about a stalemated issue, when far more menacing storms clouds are fast approaching...

Yes...
The President who can't get $5 billion to DHS is orchestrating a massive-triple-counter-double-secret-pinky-promise coup...
Serious question... if DHS shuts down how are we all getting to Guantanamo.

well there's ways around most laws silly. If you don't think we can collect taxes on electronic transfers in this day an age your plumb ass nuts. We could stop all transactions to Mexico via wire in ten minutes if we so chose. If you start handing out massive fines to companies busted sending or attempting to send money to Mexico it would dry up in an extremely short amount of time. There's virtually no way to hide internet activities anymore.

That's another sure angle. You don't just transfer money to Mexico without going through some type of financial company. Those companies can be monitored so damn easy it's ridiculous.

Good point.
I'm dangerously low on .450 Bushmaster at the moment. Don't need a lot for it though... that gun and I have never failed to connect... batting a smooth 100% going on year 4.
Should have seen the whuppin' that thing put on a buck with an hour of daylight left in the season.
