I was thinking along those lines too - that this was about mommy and daddy thinking it would be cool to have their daughter fire an Uzi and record it for social media, which is what they were doing. That girl had no hope of controlling that gun..

Maybe we need a 5 day waiting period for having kids.
These parents are blithering idiots.

just because,.....

Have any of you ever fired an automatic shotgun? Remington used to make them when I was a kid.

If you have then you are well aware that a 9 year old girl was in over her head.

A shotgun would have been much more safe due to the length of the barrel and the approximate angle needed to place the instructor in the kill zone. She would have had to swing a shotgun a lot farther to put a round into the instructor. With an Uzi it didn't take much turning to put him in danger.

And I assume that any competent instructor would be teaching the Biden Drill for self-defense: two warning shots fired up in the air.

Helicopter parents strike again.

Back in the day, I was a free range kid, and the biggest threat was that I would put my eye out with my Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun.

We were all "free range" kids. We didn't have a media warning us about all the bad guys in the world.

we also were expected to think for ourselves too.

Or a government trying to protect us from reality and responsibility.

Shooting range closed indefinitely. Drove past the range on Sunday, thought about stopping and shooting the sniper rifle.

If you've never shot the new Barret 50, you should treat yourself to it, at least one time. Barret is located about 5 mi. from my house, I've put 5 rounds down range with it, on 2 different occasions. All I can say is, they've come a LONG way from the M21, I used in '67, '68.

that girl is either going to turn into one mean machine or she is going to be scared for life. Suppose she commits suicide over this.

Remember a few years back when another young girl was trying to set some flying record and killed everyone on takeoff?

Is there anyone out there taking responsibility for anything?

Not the parents.
Not the teachers.
Not the FAA in my example above.
Not their friends.
Not even a pass-er-by.

I think this is a clue as to why our institutions are failing.

Still on my first cup-o-coffee.

Have a great day!
