I had hoped NYRA would get someone competent to replace Anthony.

I’m sure they have a name. Wouldn’t be surprised if they announced it very soon.

This reminds me of when Chad Rozema left for my local track Grand River to be the Raceway Manager and they needed to find a analyst. They worked with a lot of people and tried a few and ended up going with HOF Randy Waples.

Same situation here. Try out a few analysts to see which one fits the product and then they choose someone. I’ll bet my money it’s going to be Sara Elbadwi. Let’s wait and see.

The downside of competent public handicappers, TV racing analysts, and even new data in PPs is that they are potentially giving valuable information to a large audience that is your competition. That will potentially lower the odds on what otherwise might have been a good bet.

I'd apply if my sole duties were to share handicapping opinions with AS.

We could keep track of the results.

I think the racing public would enjoy watching someone who is not going to be pushed around and intimidated.

Ideally a competent public handicapper promotes the game in a healthy and entertaining manner, and is at least somewhat process-oriented, sharing their love and skill of the game with an audience.

Selections and 'calling' out opinions is a part of the game for sure, but some mythical jackass batting 1.00 (or even .400) isn't necessarily doing a competent job of public handicapping.

100 years old and in the business forever, yet nothing better to do that troll with garbage. Looks like Oaklawn made the right call to ditch the bitch.

Maggie Wolfendale had four of her top selections win today. Always liked and respected her, and nobody is better at paddock analysis. i think she is a straight shooter, so much so that some trainers were quite pissed off at her. Seems to get along well with Andy which is a big plus.

That seems somewhat excessive....

Like Big A, the *tweet* seemed to be the last, but not the only straw, that got Vic shit canned.
