And that's the problem...….if the distance can't even be right. How much credibility do you have with the public. The distance is a set, fixed variable. Then they are to be trusted sorting horses moving nearly 40 MPH? Yeah, good luck with that.
And speaking about credibility the calls are never publicly announced by any of them. Gee, what other sport does that? Its the freaking Wizard of Oz. Don't pay attention to the guy behind the curtain that Toto is barking at. .... Glad, I was not betting any of these races involved this time. I saw the replays, I would of had the neck vain going again.

Where is the outrage over this call? Ridiculous DQ for some incidental brushing.

I was over there and there would of been had I bet the race. I point out the pattern for years now...….if you are a premier NYRA rider you get the calls unless you are a Hall of Famer from another track. Its so obvious they don't even try to hide it. They called that a foul, but if Irad takes a guy 10 wide. Its official and he pays a "cost" fine. Forget the weather, the Stewards have been the worst part of this meet. You gotta cringe every time a foul goes up on the board. Thankfully, I've avoided it since the first week. I heard guys yesterday that got put up for that and they couldn't believe it. The one guy that talked to me about it has been playing horses longer than me, he's got 50 years to my 40 and he shook his head in disbelief. Called it pre screw equity , before he comes out on the wrong end next time....

I had the exacta boxed equally and the DD equally so the DQ benefited me. I told my brother who had the same bet that not only would the 3 not come down, but Ortiz may get fined for a frivolous claim of foul. It really is scary how bad or biased these stewards really are.

They left Irad up in the 7th today for a similar incident to Sunday's involving Dylan Davis

I have no idea how that was a double DQ in the 8th. Clown show stewards IMO. The 8, sure, but the 4 too?

It actually should have been an even bigger "joke," since it should have been changed from to , not - since the , while a perpetrator of a foul on the , was also a victim of a foul from the .

You need to watch the replay again. The 8 shouldn't of been DQ'ed at all.

For what it's worth, the equibase footnotes read as follows:

"FINAL FRONTIER came away in good order, went three wide on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the two path on the far turn, took the lead in the three path into the stretch, led determinedly into the final sixteenth, came out late and bumped HIZEEM forcing him simultaneously into STRIKE ME DOWN and narrowly prevailed on the wire. STRIKE ME DOWN was taken in hand early, rounded the first turn in the three path under restraint, settled near the back while outside on the backstretch, went around the far turn in the three to four path, swung seven to eight wide into the stretch, rallied outside under a strong hand ride, was given one crack of a right-handed whip inside the furlong marker, lugged in badly while gaining fast approaching the sixteenth-pole, was corrected by the rider with hard tugs of the right rein while switched to a left-handed whip, continued to lug in while being corrected hard by the rider as he drew alongside the leading pair, maintained a straight path under correction before being bumped by HIZEEM near the wire as that one as that one was shoved out by FINAL FRONTIER and narrowly missed while having his head turned completely to the outside at the finish. HIZEEM traveled around the first turn in the four path, settled on the outside, was asked leaving the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn, came five wide into the stretch, loomed a threat into the final furlong, drew alongside FINAL FRONTIER near the sixteenth-pole, was bumped by that foe when he came out late and forced into STRIKE ME DOWN who was being held to a straight course under vigorous tugs of the right rein and just missed in a three-way photo ... Following the race, the rider of HIZEEM claimed foul against both STRIKE ME DOWN and FINAL FRONTIER plus there was also a stewards' inquiry. After the stewards' review, both FINAL FRONTIER and STRIKE ME DOWN were disqualified and placed second third respectively for deemed interference near the wire."

But what I'd like to know is why Strike Me Down's rider (Joel Rosario) didn't claim foul against Final Frontier.
