They rejected it because it happened in 1996. In 1996 the law defined rape as non consensual penile penetration. Digital penetration or penetration with an object was considered sexual assault or battery. The definition was changed in 2012, but as you are aware, our constitution prohibits ex post facto laws. Nonetheless, Trump did rape E. Jean Carroll. He got off on a technicality.

How do YOU know when this allegation occurred? E. Jean Carroll could NOT even say when it happened. Were you there?
He lost the lawsuit because of lawfare with a biased jury. They even changed the law to allow this to occur, changing the statute of limitations.
