Free Racing Forms LAs Vegas

Hi,

In Las Vegas a few months ago some casinos would let you leave a deposit take the forms and exchange for the next days forms. This seems to have faded with the hard times. Does any one know of a casino that still does this or has free daily racing forms? The M casino will but they are the equibase form. Thanks

I think if you sign up for the players clubs (most casinos seem to have them) you can ask the race supervisor if you get free forms if you bet, and how does it work. I'd assume that the more you bet, the more of a shot you have to score a free form.

Lots of casinos have the "Free book" which is a thick book of pp's with a ton of tracks, its not DRF, but its free....they always ask you if you want the "free book" or the DRF....most places, if they don't give you free forms, will only charge a buck or two.

This is something I also just found out. It really pissed me off !

This last summer you could go to the coast's casinos and do as you said. Leave a deposit, they would stamp the DRF and you could exchange it for the next day's forms or get your money back.

I talked to some guy ( I think his name was Cody) at the Gold Coast the other day, and he proudly said that he was responsible for the change. Stating that they were losing money on forms and now they aren't.
He was very happy about what he had done.
So now, if there are 3 forms a day, they will charge you $9. ($3 ea.)
He used the excuse that others are doing it, so why not?

Then he said "Don't worry", if you have built up any points on you Coast Turf Club Card, you can use those to buy Racing Forms.
Normally you build up "points" to comp food, rooms, etc. But now you have to use them for forms.

By the way, you have to bet $100 to receive 2 POINTS !
They charge 4 pts for each Racing Form !
Say you want all 3 Forms for the next day, you would need to bet $600.!

However, downtown at the Golden Nugget, they will charge you $5 ea. UNLESS you are staying there, in which case it is FREE.
But if you stay at the Coast Casinos you're out of luck. You're NOTHING THERE !

They don't have any idea how much money is NOT being bet because people don't want to pay for the forms, or didn't buy that extra form with more tracks.

Check some other casinos ....
and post here IF you find one THAT IS NOT IN COLLUSION ! ....Bastards !!

This all started with the bean counters many years ago. The mob, whoever they were, believed in comps. Since they "departed", accountants with no concept of "priming the pump" have slowly and steadily found ways to show their daddy management how productive they are by increasing the bottom line, penny wise and pound foolish.
