POTN finished 2nd, Papa Clem 4th, and Chocolate Candy finished 5th last year; so much for ignoring *synth* horses, many people made a lot of $ on the exotics.

Just because ONE long shot ONE year comes from Sunland, does not mean it is a staple.

I agree the SA Derby is the key this year, both the winner and Lucky.
All those other races from yesteryear have no meaning this year whatsoever - none of them are running.

My bad I guess I misunderstood the thread. I was referring to the Florida Derby, not the Sunland. Don't think it is up there in the list.

Call me crazy, maybe it was decieveing because a weak field like Pyro, but i thought that Line of David was very visually impressive. Not as visually impressive as Point Givens SA derby but impressive all the same. What will his odds be 25/1?

You need to watch the replay. He was leg weary and weaving inward...he probably wanted to go lay down in the infield.

that was only 1-1/8th miles.

Brave fast guy, and a gorgeous hunk of horseflesh, but we just had a case where none of the others tried to pass him.

Gotta agree with you, WT Line of David will be no where in the Derby...wish a few of these outside horses would give it up so a good one like Setsuko can get in.
