2 kinds in the world: the kind who will tell you if your shoelace is untied before you fall and break your hip. And the kind who won't, and thinks it's funny when you do fall down.

I always went with 3 kinds of people. The one who see a big snot in your nose and tell everyone but you and laugh at you. The one who lets you know so you can blow your nose. And the one who can only love you like a Mother can and takes out a tissue from her purse and wipes it for you.

I always enjoy this encounter while working at the track.
Customer: Well if I bet all of them to win then I win right?
Me: You would cash a ticket but you might not win because the cost to bet them all would exceed the value of the winning ticket. If you want to do something like that then just bet the five long shots to win because that is what you are hoping happens by betting them all and you are risking less money.
Customer: Give me two to win on every horse.

I will do what I call a cascading Exacta box. I box my top 3 picks, box my top 4 picks, likely up to my top 6. If my top 3 horses finish 1st and second I cash the Exacta 4 times. This doesn't work if it is a chalky exacta however. The price is 68 times your base wager.
I may dabble with trifectas but I have learned to stay away from the superfecta. I have thrown too much money toward that historically without return.

I like it. I've done that with Tris the last few years, up to 6.
