I know its the triple crown forum but I think the oaks warrants a thread somewhere and being that we can oaks derby double maybe just maybe we can talk about it here

Asmussen will have one reason to smile & if there is one horse that I would like to see win if Chrome doesn't win the derby, its Tapiture & have Asmussen win the Oaks/Derby double & stick it up PETA's arse

Odd...BRIS has free early Derby pp's but the Oaks you must pay for.

Untapable has a good chance. But, can't lose? I think not.

Dreaming of Julia came into last years race after a monster performance and appeared to regress...i kinda feel like the same pattern is coming here. I think last years race came up alot tougher and even with a regression untapable will be tough...

Untapable won't be much higher than even money at post time.
Hard to bet, harder still to find someone to beat her.

Oaks derby double is a lucrative bet that flies under the radar imo...anyone know if the oaks Woodford derby will be offered this year? Some strong favorites in the sequence...will either chalk out or pay stacks

I had two early Oaks "futures bets" this year.

1) "Untapable" -- A few bucks, and she ends up being the favorite

2) "Only For You" - who was put down after a training accident.

I look for Untapable to romp, but the gambler in me will be looking for a mid tier horse to jump up and beat her (Now I just need to figure out which one)

Yes. But she was running well late in the Juvi so she can handle dirt. Haven't heard much in the way of workout reports this week but she's one I'm eyeing to pull the upset.

Other is My Miss Sophia...doesn't have much in the way of experience but there's an outside chance she's a freak so gonna be paying attention to her as well.
