The people of this world are not the directors or producers. But we are all willing players playing the scripts given to us.

So...when you suffer in torment in hell for all eternity, you'll have the cold comfort of knowing you played the part God gave you willingly. Perhaps that comfort will help mitigate the flames.

After everyone, whose name has been written in the Book of Life from before the foundation of the world, is brought into the Kingdom of God, then the end of this age will come upon us very shortly thereafter.

It's all "required" because the only other option was for God to destroy the world immediately after the Fall of Adam; but instead in eternity "past" God determined that he would redeem many from the human race over the centuries prior to destroying the world and evil once and for all.
