I bow down to you Pace. You have made me see the light
Pace you have made see the error of my ways.
You made me realize that maiden claiming races on a Thursday at Thistledown should be treated EQUALLY to the Kentucky derby.
ALL rules should be treated EQUALLY. From the first rule written in 632 page rule book to the last rule written.
The letter of the law must be followed EQUALLY by all horses regardless if they finish first or last. If you break ANY letter of the law you should be held accountable.
Rules should be EQUALLY enforced at all points in the race whether its right out of the gate or in mid stretch since the rule book does not specify certain rules only being enforced at certain points in the race. Again the letter of the law should be EQUALLY enforced at all points in a race.
My solution which I am sure Pace would agree with is the following ....
The actual running of the race should simply just be the starting point to determining the order of finish.
After the horses run the race. The stewards should in super slo motion analyze every step that every horse took 1 -20 in the 1 1/4 mile derby. Every horse should be EQUALLY scrutinized for breaking ANY of the 478 rules that make up the letter of the law. There are rules about how the jockeys need to dress. I want a tailor on site to analyze the fashion choices of all the jockeys. Than after a few weeks and the stewards have had a chance to EQUALLY analyze every step of every horse and EQUALLY apply ever single rule to every horse since all rules are created EQUAL than the stewards can release in a written statement what they deem to be the CORRECT and FAIR order of finish.
Good times 😊
