She is a socialist absolutely, I think socialism can work in countries with smaller populations but I don't think it can work in the U.S. Capitalism is too ingrained in the society and socialism takes away one's incentive to get better, why should you work 40 hours for minimum wage when you can get the government to pay you almost as much to sit home and collect welfare. I live in a socialist country, there are pros and cons. A lot of people abuse the system and expect things for doing nothing. No one is left behind if you know what your doing, those who live on the street choose to do so. If the U.S moves to a more socialist government be prepared to have your taxes raised 25-50%. It's unsustainable if you don't

31% of Democrats say they would be “comfortable” with a socialist presidential candidate
With politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Cynthia Nixon calling themselves “Democratic Socialists,” American attitudes on socialism and capitalism may be shifting, according to new data from YouGov Omnibus.
When asked about capitalism, 44% of Americans say they have a favorable view. This number has fallen since 2015, when over half (52%) said that they had a favorable view of capitalism.

You should be eligible for Medicare. You paid into it all your working life.
Hint:Socialized medicine for seniors.

She Just Can't Help Herself!
From FNN:
Ocasio-Cortez compares members of migrant caravan to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany
I wonder as the Jews were fleeing they had Soros-type help so that they could flee caravan-style? And when the Jews fled Germany, did they leave waving the Nazi flag as they went?
Can this airhead get any dumber?

Occasional-Cortex tweet:"What if instead of sending 5k troops to the border,
we had sent 5k caseworkers to review + process visa applications?
In addition to averting moral crises, it also would have saved enormous amt of
resources. But we don't talk about the financial recklessness of GOP admins,
do we?"
#HankJohnson You have been usurped.

Cost illegals get from Federal Assistance monthly $3,874.
Amount paid to Americans on Social Security $1,200 a month.
For those who cant add, Occasional-Cortex, that's more than triple.
This does not include medical and education costs.

I think most of the extreme left today has never suffered in their lives. Most of them are probably younger and have rich parents too. When one needs to struggle to survive, things like taking in an insane amount of refugees or health care for all illegal immigrants doesn't make sense.
Too many actual American citizens need help, not more competition for spots in schools or jobs.

Those people in hcap's link are the 47% Mitt romney was talking about - those who want a free ride on the backs of others.
Socialism WILL NOT WORK HERE.

Socialism ALWAYS works, until there no more 'other peoples' money' to spend, then it gets messy ...
