Exactly, but in many cases work wages are not enough to live on. A slew of benefits are granted to pick up the difference. We have to pull out the rug on those benefits as wages rise. What has to occur is less of a reason to enter this country illegally. If we remove the reasons to gravitate here illegally, plus change some laws we can correct some problems.

The people getting subsidized housing in plantations are mostly unwilling to move for decent work.

No, I want to eliminate welfare to fill those jobs.

Then we do not need immigrants.
Why pay one class to refuse to work?

Interesting commentary taking place in this thread. A couple of points about welfare (sorry no links, but easily verifiable):

1. Undocumented aliens (aka "illegals") are not eligible for benefits. That is SNAP, BFET, TANF, etc. It is true that the U.S. citizen child(ren) are eligible for benefits, but only the child. The law has been this way for a long time.

2. The welfare rolls - I define welfare, strictly speaking, as TANF - have been in steady decline for years. Some of this is attributable to the economy, while some can be attributed to the the transition from AFDC to TANF in 1996 (see PRWORA).

Make no mistake, undocumented aliens do place many pressures on the economy and government at all levels; law enforcement, education systems, etc.

Anf I bet many get phony ID that gets them on the dole.
In any event, if we have open jobs that need to be filled, and we are paying people not to work - citizens, then we need o close the hand out windows.

Now, not all people CAN work, and there ARE people who truly deserve/need to taken care - and I have no problem with that.
Say you have 10 people, 4 of which are able to work, and 6 who absolutely cannot.

You have a budget of $10,000 dollars to care fo all. Each gets $1,000.

40% of money NEEDED by some is given to those who can earn it themselves.

That is what I am saying.

This is ignored everywhere......they get it, especially California.

Maybe you are not a racial supremacist but a "speciesismust"

Clint Eastwood is class though.
