Maybe you guys can learn to act civil. Stop calling people names. Then I can stop calling people names.

Show a tiny bit of respect to your fellow board member. To your country. To your president.
I never thought I'd see the day where one can be fired, blacklisted, spat upon, shunned, and/or a whole lot of other shit, just for supporting the duly elected President of the United States, while living in the United States.
A lot of you don't realize just how far you've pushed things. And it's NOT all Trump's fault, believe it or not. It's YOURS as well.

I'd just keep it closed until the election is over...
WH gonna be throwing out crazier and crazier stuff the next couple of days to try and take back some initiative.

I thought maybe bringing thaskalos in as a moderator would have helped out things, but apparently, NOT.
If you guys can't see how RADICALLY different the tone and combativeness is here compared to years past, then you're BLIND, DEAF and DUMB.
This section is, in short, OUT OF CONTROL.
You can argue with me all you want about that, but as the admin, and the purveyor of this place for two decades, I know a thing or two about the atmosphere on this board. You can't argue this one with me.

It's a forum where political bickering is 99% of the content. There essentially is no moderator presence other than you showing up for a few minutes occasionally to complain about the behavior, or contribute to it.
Until there's an actual serious attempt to establish a moderating presence, where "offending" (which is subjective, obviously) posts or behavior are promptly addressed, I doubt you'll see any of the improvement you claim to be seeking.

Or how about OT Political and OT MAGA? The latter would be free of the insane and radical combative crazies (like Ely, that madman!) so unfairly and disrespectfully criticizing our president. It would be like a haven to wallow in MAGA goodness, which just happens to smell like cooked cabbage. I promise you'll get used to it..

The board's most prolific poster spent years calling the president a Kenyan POS over and over again, with not so much as a peep out of you.
Now you're all snowflaky about "not valid" criticism of a clown like Trump?
Completely ignoring the fact that the vast majority of personal venom on the forum lately has been toward one particular Trump critic that most everyone would agree has a history of being one of the more likeable and enlightened forum contributors?
Seems kinda silly.

Tom didn't start calling him a Kenyan POS full-time until you guys went apeshit on Trump.
In fact, Tom hardly if ever called him Kenyan (which he is, BTW...as his father is Kenyan...just like I'm Italian because my mom was) WHILE he was POTUS.
Not sure why calling him Kenyan is taken as a negative, POS would have sufficed, but that's your problem I guess.
