Boy, could I use a real explanation of how these systems work.

I read the article, about a company betting on "A" or against "A" and I can see that. If fact, that is sports betting or horse racing in the sense that the market we bet into is a and/or B as opposed to owning the actual horse... BUT...

... when you get a couple more levels deep it begins to look like the mortgage market.

The whole thing makes my head hurt. (Is that a good thing?)
