Judging by post #30 I'd say hcap is outraged as well. I blame it on his cross country cycling with the lack of clean chamois / cycling shorts.

Not that it matters, but the original version of that avatar was used often during Vietnam. It was normally on a sign and sometimes the girl from the Goldwater commercial was on the same sign. I personally recall the pic from hanging around some hippie types that used to protest the war. Not that it matters.....but Hcap is not bullshitting anyone on the image. Just for the record.......

The avatar does identify well with hcap, so in that manner I like it. Don't know about the kid and all the legal aspects and frankly don't care. If I were the kid I think I'd be flattered, not mad about it.

I also can also use music and rock groups as anti-war propaganda, if that makes FF happy.

Due to its size, it still looks more like Silence of the Lambs instead of something "peaceful".

The song would be better. Great song. May even put me in a good mood each time I read your posts if I heard the song.

Great song. I love Neil's older stuff, but never liked his politics. He's been trashing this country for 50 years and gotten very rich, but refuses to become a US citizen.
Hypocrisy at a very high level.
His history of treating fellow band members like total shit (disappearing midway thru tours for example) isn't all that nice either.

Really. Not liking his politics?

Question, where conservative song writers during the Vietnamese war and where are their great protest songs? For that matter where are conservative comedian. The only one I can think of is Dennis miller and he is not funny at all.

I know...it's tough when you compare him to such stellar left-wing comics like Roseanne Barr and Sarah Silverman....

Those are high bars to jump over for sure...

I was commenting more on your critique of Miller being unfunny...I always thought he was funny, even before I knew of his political leanings...to each their own.

I suspect you find him unfunny because of his conservative leanings.

Norm McDonald is pretty funny...pretty sure he's conservative...

Adam Sandler cracks me up...when last seen, he was a Republican...

But whatever...

Did we all miss the memo that it was necessary to write a protest song?

Have you not yet figured out that it's liberals who protest by and large? And conservatives are too busy working and going about their lives to protest?

I'm going to take a guess that the cleaner living and the cleaner mouthed are the conservatives, and the druggies and foul-mouthed are liberal. Doesn't this answer your questions?

You have to go to country music to find in entertainment where there is a majority of conservatives.
