Going stick?

I was checking the changes for Woodbine today, and their web site says:
Quote:
Race Changes: GOING-STICK: 10.9
for 2 races, the 4th and the 8th. Those are the only 2 turf races on today's card, so I assume that means something about the turf condition.

I have never seen that before, but then, I don't speak Canadian, so I thought I'd ask here. Any help?

As indicated at the link, it's an implement used to put a number on the condition of turf courses for comparison purposes.
