Beldame
FWIW, I have been on Stopchargingmaria.
Once she was scratched out of he Cotillion in favor of today's racer, that just convinces me she is the one to beat today.
Not much of a walk out on the proverbial limb, but ROI is ROI....

9/2 on a horse who was just pulling triple digit speed figures (Bris), just had to ignore the mud effort with the high pace. Horse looked great.

That was quite a performance.
24 and a piece followed by two sub 24 second quarters. Finished in under 12 secs for the last furlong.....Pretty impressive.
One thing is for sure. Today's Belmont strip is favoring speed.
Now watch...The next dirt race will be won a by a dead closer.

Track looks fair to me, inside and out, speed and closers.

Didnt seem like there was much of a passing zone in that sprint race. The best closers on paper, the 2 and the 4, weren't competitive.
I think the track is leaning towards speed, but you can still close if you're great.

I can remember the Beldame when it was mile and a quarter - and started out of the chute, which has since been foolishly decommissioned (beyond 1 1/8 miles).

I thought the track at BEL was pretty honest yesterday.
