Punctuate
First starter out of 19 for 19 Peppers Pride debuts for Baffert in the 4th on Saturday at 8-1 ml.Sired by Distorted Humor , kind of surprised he only went for 300k.Drawn way outside and is the "other" Baffert to favored Fame And Power.
Seems like every race at SA and BEL is wide open and this is no different.

I think he'll be overbet on the Peppers Pride name recognition alone, plus Baffert trains, so you're really not going to get much. It would help to see the workout reports.

Has a bunch of flashy works on the surface(3 bullets since mid August every other work last 6 works) but workout report isn't up yet.
Not saying I like or dislike him. This race is next to impossible to handicap.Just thought it was interesting being first Peppers Pride to hit the track.

Good looking bunch in this one.
The Baffert chalk(Fame and Power)is a Juddmonte.
But FaP might be vulnerable.
Baffert doesn't race his 2yo Juddmonte stock with Lasix.
New Years Day in the Breeders Cup Juvenile last year was the only recent Baffert I recall winning without Lasix.
Punctuate{with Lasix} might be well meant.
Hollendorfer has a pair:
Bronze Star(500k) Tapit for Fox Hill Farms and Madiba(700k) Candy Ride for Regis Racing.
Throw in Pretentious, a nice looking 200k Super Saver for James Cassidy and this race has some serious potential.
Pretentious[12-1 ml] was up against a massive track bias @ DMR, I like him in this spot.

Go watch this replay again and while youy're watching it please understand that no horse wins "From there" at the great race place. If you're not on the lead at this place you have no chance, and this horse comes from China, if the race was another 70 yards he would have won by about 50 lengths (that's for you Mark and Pete!).
Incredible performance.

BC on poly at SA was great for two years.
Now back to the biased dirt surface - my interest dulled a lot.
