Hearty congratulations to
JolyB for winning the 2014 PaceAdvantage.com
Player of the Year Award. It should be noted that he accomplished this by playing in only 4 out of 7 Contests, winning one and finishing 2nd in another - and still finished on top by a nice margin! That is a mark of consistency and efficiency, and I think that all who faced him will agree he was a fierce and fiercely honourable competitor.
He joins 2012 POY
Aner and 2013 POY
Immanuel Kant in the PaceAdvantage Hall of Fame !
JolyB wins a very nice Trophy from ASD Assiniboia Downs, $250 Cash and Overlay Publications products.
Well done, well done!
Runners up were
turffan 2nd Place and
turfeyejoe 3rd Place, with honourable mention going to 4th Place
ten2oneormore who was only out of 3rd Place by 10 points. Congratulations to all of you - you were always in the hunt and made each Contest you joined more competitive for your skill and sportsmanship!
Thank you to everyone who participated all year in these Contests. Thank you to Mike (
PaceAdvantage) for supporting the entire Series over these past years and for providing us with a smoothly functioning venue to hold them.
Special thanks and all other expressions of gratitude go to Chris (
Track Collector) who has provided Contest Scoring services in most of these contests this year and in previous years. It is a HUGE task to attend to all these details and post results in a timely fashion with as much continuing good humour as he has shown. We owe him a hearty round of applause, and I renew my annual offer of a drink in Saratoga (if you get there next year, Chris).
Thank you to all our
Contest Sponsors this year: Gapfire, Brisnet, RDSS, Overlay Publications, PaceAdvantage, TrackMaster and ASD Assiniboia Downs (for their own Parlay Contest and for the beautiful Trophies they provide for every Contest and to the Player of the Year). Your support has made the Series worth playing, and provided the incentive to go for the Win.
Lastly, thank you to all my
RDSS / Sartin Methodology users who have supported me over the years, and demonstrated in many of these Contests their prowess and finesse in analysis and wagering, winning or finishing 2nd in way more than their fair share of Contests. The teaching and mentoring of
Doc Sartin and
Jim 'The Hat' Bradshaw and all the other Methodology teachers are still as relevant today as ever they were. My aim in overall Contest Sponsorship these past 3 years was in part to provide a showcase for these tools and ideas, and I think we did pretty well! The Cash Prizes I have provided come from RDSS users support, and from those of you who I have been able to assist in getting signed on to good rebating ADWs.
If anyone needs more information about any of this - you know how to find me
Thank you again - all of you!
This concludes the
2014 PaceAdvantage Challenge Series of Contests. Please stay tuned for upcoming news about
2015 Contests ...
