The good news about horse racing is that when controversy comes to the front, you do not have to go back very far in time to find more.
The antics and just plain out right deception continue. Customers and government officials keep turning a blind eye to what should be in the spotlight.
Horse racing is IMO, perpetrating fraud on a large scale. They are only concerned about money and how to make more of it. They "police" themselves and, in doing so, keep the fraud alive.
A trainer claims that 99.5 % of drug test are clean, and the ones that are not are errors or confusion. National Organizations that represent owners, trainers and racing commissions testify against a bill that would increase out of competition testing. A starter is suspended for 8 days for what is outright abuse. Steroids are not PED's but "therapeutic"medications. And now drug positives are not drug positives, but just some outsiders opinion.
The ability of horse racing to police themselves needs changed.
