A little strange....

Santa Anita race 6 today, I noticed #5 Thanksgiving Day getting a ton of money in the double when looking at the possible payoffs from race 5. I ended up using it, even though I didn't like him.

Then, he opens up at 2-1 early betting (FROM 10-1 ML). About 10 minutes later, the main speed who was going to challenge him on the front end, is SCRATCHED (#4 Mr Cartenga).

I'm sure a solid case can be made for #5 Thanksgiving Day even without the scratch. But, the race certainly changed dramatically with the scratch of #4, something it appears others had knowledge of, but the main public didn't.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this...but it feels like this #4 Mr Cartenga was likely going to be scratched all along, something that should have been made public prior to the massive p6.

By the way, I'm not really complaining. While I didn't have him in an ending p3, I did add him to both of my pick 6 tickets. Not sour grapes here.
