Break Even might be a very good prospect for the Test also. (Eight Belles winner at CD 5/3)

Yes, and also very fast early and could cause problems. Curious how Brill would do on the turnback as well. She isn't a router.

The Test used to be my second favorite race after the Met Mile, but in recent years it has often contained more lightly raced horses just starting to break out instead of a bunch of more established high quality stakes horses. This year it could be a lot stronger if all the top prospects continue to perform at a high level and all show up. They are lightly raced again, but very good.

Fail.

I'm not sure what I think of the route division. The only one that has impressed me so far is Point Of Honor.

I don't think Covfefe is going to duplicate that race for a couple of reasons. So I'll take a crack at her eventually too. It's a matter of finding the right spot to bet against her and hoping she doesn't get exposed before I get the chance....assuming I am right to begin with....which is no lock.
Of course, I was busy looking at MTH yesterday and didn't even know she ran yesterday until 5 minutes ago.

I don't feel that badly about it. I would have played the winner, but I wouldn't have gotten involved in the exacta. Good call on the runner up.

She was pretty impressive today without any bias helping carry her a bit like in a couple of her other races.

I’m surprised there isn’t more of a discussion about the Test. It was great race.

not much discussion about any races yesterday. It was a great race, somehow I did not crush that race despite that horse fitting everything I like when handicapping.

I tried to beat her at 7F. Not one of my better ideas.

Maybe I underrated her to begin with. I had an + day anyway.

The Test looks even stronger now with Royal Charlotte coming back with a huge race. She wasn’t the only high quality filly to get outrun and totally trounced in that field. The top two may have been monstrous that day.

Jeltrin with a huge win at PARX at 5.1-1 yesterday further verifying that the Test was a monster race. It may have been so huge, we may have to worry about the top 2 being the same after that.
