THAT is the thread I thought you would be posting in about the race today, not this one!
Amazing performance by TWO horses.

After pouring over the Preakness pps some more I've decided they should give the Woodlawn Vase to Covfefe as the most deserving winner of the race at Pimlico this weekend and let's move on to the Belmont.

Had a big day yesterday along with Javier. The stars align as they team up with Warriors Charge in the Preakness.
Looks like Farma Way's 1:52-2 record might be in trouble! Maybe put stablemate Owendale to get up for second.
I guess the woman who picked Warriors Charge out of a sale also picked Monomoy Girl for Cox.
Poor Congrats Gal tried to run early with this monster.

She could make a lot of money in the big sprint stakes against colts.

I would think the purses against her own sex are just fine too, no?

I just hope she runs; Safely Kept--who also made her 2nd start of the year in mid-May as a 3yo--ran 3 more times before winning the Test at Saratoga and 2 of those races were against older fillies and mares...
I guess we'll be blessed if she shows up for the Prioress or tries the Test/Ballerina double...

Oh definitely, please don't wait for the Test. That is everything that is wrong with racing today...waiting three months to race again.

And without crossing into the area of the rule (I hope), Jamie Roth of LNJ Foxwoods put in a reservation for the name within hours of the tweet, then was lucky enough (for lack of better words) to attach the name to a horse which may be winning quite a few stakes before the year is out.

Count me among the people that are looking forward to betting against her eventually. She's good, but I don't think she's "that" good. I'm hoping they pick a tough spot and she's the favorite.

I can't think of any 3yo fillies currently I'd be lining up to bet against her, sprinting of course.

I'm not a big Bellafina fan and would like to bet against both of them, but if they make Covfefe a huge favorite over Bellafina going 7F, I don't care what the figures say, I think they are closer than that.

I don't think Bellafina has developed much at all, she's a much bigger bet against for me, even sprinting.

Bellafina has looked more like a sprinter/miler to me for awhile. I played against her last out. It's hard for me personally to tell how much her lack of progress is that they've been trying to stretch her out and much is just lack of progress. I don't know, but she may not being getting any better. That's why I'm not a huge fan.
I don't think Covfefe is going to duplicate that race for a couple of reasons. So I'll take a crack at her eventually too. It's a matter of finding the right spot to bet against her and hoping she doesn't get exposed before I get the chance....assuming I am right to begin with....which is no lock.

I'd be interested in Liora cutting back to 7 furlongs in the Test. She's been making strong middle moves and hanging slightly in her routes. Same sire as last year's Test winner (and Candy Ride has sired numerous Grade 1 winners specifically at the 7f distance).
