I didn't use him because i thought his best efforts had been when he was able to stalk and i believed if he ran that way he would get cooked. I did bet him in the Holy Bull were i thought he could sit behind the speed. In that race it looked to me that he did not change leads until the last 50 yards with the jock struggling to get him to shift, he would have won otherwise. It looked like Rosario had the same challenge just outside the 16th pole in the Preakness.
Did anyone else notice this issue? Is it unusual for a horse to continue having this issue 10 races into his career?

he ran a good race, but the rail was a favorable place to be for that race. OWENDALE missed second by the nose. OWENDALE is the horse to beat in THE BELMONT in my opinion. but for him to win, he will need to be much closer to the front in order to get there. if OWENDALE runs the same as he did in THE PREAKNESS you won't find him with a search warrant.

Depends what you mean by running the same. If you mean lagging behind early, yes he'll be in trouble unless pace is fast. If he runs similar or even slightly slower fractions he will be right up there.
