Cream was the 3rd band that grabbed my attention growing up.

Unlike most R&R's Bruce could really play. He was a classically trained cellist and an excellent jazz bassist. He will be missed.

This is very sad news. I know he had some sort of cancer surgery about 10 years ago, but thought he was doing well. I saw them three times and once was able to stand near the stage. The things he did with that Fender VI were amazing, but he abandoned it in favor of a 4-string fretless for Disraeli Gears. It was a shame that he could not get along with Ginger, but I guess that is how it is with virtuosos.

He played on that song, another three person power trio, and is given co-writer credit. First song that came to my mind as I listened to it recently.
