Hey Mike--thanks for the review on Amazon, but I've already canceled my acct. The hoops they make sellers jump through--just wasn't worth it. They give anyone a refund that asks for it...they hold your money for a month or two, etc.

I went back to E-bay.

I am with you. I do not like Amazon either and would rather use Ebay. Never have had a problem with Ebay.

NHC

The other day I was looking on Horse Tourneys for something to enter...I clicked on the wrong track or something, and found myself in a tourney that the first two finishers win an entry into the NHC tournament Saturday(entry fee = $165) I finished 2nd and won a free roll.

I don't really have any grandeurs of winning, but it pays down to 10th or 12th place, so I hope to cash in somewhere.

I noticed the winners of these things always hit a couple longshots somewhere--I'm just going to play my regular game, and hope for the best.

Greg:

Best 5 nearly cleared the card at Santa Anita today (on 04-26) winning every race except the 8th (7 of 8) including an early Pic 4 of $99.00 and an early Pic 5 for $371.35 for 50c.... That 5th Race had Bob's Sniper as a $29.000 winner which I missed. Not only E1, E2 advantage, but, he was also a Speed Blast horse on PaceView Platinum. Nice stuff! Three of the first five race winners were the Top Points selection (one race was the 2nd choice) and the $29.00 winner was the third choice...

Excellent Stuff Greg! Have a wonderful weekend, and, once again, thrilled to hear that your family pet (doggy) is rock'in about your house as you are normally accustomed to him doing...

BELTERRA SUNDAY

Thanks for the encouragement, guys....but I pretty much sucked a rat's butt when the results came in. I don't think I even finished in the top 100

Oh well...today is new day. We usually do well at Belterra, so here's todays Best-Five to give you a little help:

Good Luck,

.

These are two what I consider "unusual" claims by Diodoro & Garvey. Anyone else I wouldn't have noticed. I've mentioned before, these connections don't throw darts--there is a reason for the claims.
They are both entered tomorrow @ Oaklawn-SILVERA @ 9-2 and PURELY GIVEN @ 6-1

JURY DUTY

Oakland is a Democratic fiasco, as you've probably heard. They've teetered on bankruptcy for years--had to make budget cuts everywhere. No wonder we lost the Warriors and Raiders. They've also made budget cuts in the courts, and the police are understaffed --they can't afford to pay any more.

I got yet another Jury Summons from Oakland--they can't even afford to send a summons letter anymore, it's a POSTCARD.

So for the hell of it I answered back that I was sick and couldn't go. Didn't get a DR to fill it out and verify--I just sent that back.

Here was the response:

For some reason, it's hard to lose weight when you get older. I love ice cream and frozen 3 Musketeers candy bars. Finally I have some issues I am currently seeing the GI dept for. I swear I went a week without eating. Every time you go to the Dr, they take your vitals and you get on a scale.

Only drank water, the week before I ate very little (because I couldn't). So when they put me on the scale--I had lost 7 lbs.
That's it. Only 7 lbs When I was younger, it would have been 40 lbs.

So I had to go get a bike out of the garage, fix it up and start riding around the neighborhood. Hope I don't get hit by a car.

Anyway--that's the reason I disappear sometimes. They don't have computers in the hospital, and I don't use laptops.
