“The problem here is that California officials haven’t always done a great job when it comes to backing up their claims about what must be closed. The California Restaurant Association sued and won last month when LA County authorities were unable to provide data to back up their claims that outdoor dining needed to be shut down to slow the virus. It turned out there was no data to back up this claim. They just decided it was for the best and expected everyone to go along with it.

So once again we’re in a situation where officials are deciding who can work and leave home and who can’t but they won’t show us their work. We just have to take them at their word.”

Born and raised in San Diego and still here. City has deteriorated a lot in the last 10 years and homelessness is rampant. City Leaders are incompetent.

The State is hopeless. Any city or state controlled by Dems is heading in the wrong direction but California is exceptionally dysfunctional with no end in sight.

Lived in CA (Orange County) for 20 years. I've came to the conclusion long ago that CA will need to collapse before it gets better.

Well, if the Fed bails CA out, which seems likely, then the collapse may not be imminent.

But for me, the charm of CA is gone. I don't miss the traffic, the expense, nor the crowd.

My rent was 2100 a month for a 2 bedroom 837 sqft condo with a carport. The cost of an annual pass to Disneyland is over 2000.00 a year, however they will allow you to make payments. My commute to work (25 mile all interstate) was over an 1 hour in the morning and 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. I could go all day. My wife, who lived in CA for over 30 years, did not want to move to Kansas City, but now states she would not move back to CA even if she won the lottery.

I've always said if I'm ever homeless I'm moving to San Diego, and I mean it!

When tourist say they have to step over/maneuver around the homeless to see the state capitol in Sacramento, I believe them.

It’s a shithole. Everyone I know is leaving. I’m a couple years away from leaving myself, I won’t have any clients left here anyway.

Such an incredible shame all of the gross mismanagement by the political elite in CA!! About 30 years ago, when I lived in No. Cal. in and around the Pleasanton area it was simply the best climate that I ever lived in. Loved it!! Sometimes miss it horribly until I hear from my friends that still live there talking of just how much of a cesspool it has become.
