Hong Kong PP"s?
Anyone know of American style PP's that are provided for Hong Kong racing?
HK racing resumes in a couple of weeks.

Still no Canada yet for the commingling (I'm sure it's Woodbine's fault somehow) however looks like the super exotics could soon be available in the US
Quote:
"The US began commingling on Hong Kong races through the TVG channels on April 5 this year and, by the season's end, TVG clients had been joined by customers of the operators Xpressbet, and Watch and Wager.
"Another big operator, Twin Spires is in the testing stages and might join towards the end of 2014 or first quarter of 2015," Nader said. He also said there was a real push from American operators to expand their product offerings into the "lot for a little" bets.
"They are working hard to add Triple Trio and Six Up. Because in the US fields are small and the odds are short, customers there are very exotic-minded. In California, players are Pick 6 crazy, so those operators are very keen to offer them our exotics."

It's back! I'm psyched.
Looks like Twinspires will have Hong Kong later this year, or early next year.
No PPs out on TVG, but they are out on Xpressbet.
For those wanting to dip into the Big Boy pool, here's the link for the PPs from the Hong Kong Jockey's Club web site. Note - the races are listed from oldest to most recent....

The speed map, which is similar to TFUS's pace projector, is also at the top of the page in the form pages for each race. Speed was holding up really well last night.

I'd say that the speed figures they have there are maybe not up to TFUS or Beyer's standards, but they seem to be a notch above the BRIS ones.

Aussie bookmaker Mark Read
Anyone out there interested in fixed odds betting on HK racing?
I set up an account at markread.com.au months back, and their
customer service via email has been very good.
They are willing to take US customers, which is unusual,
as they have a system for accepting deposits from our banks.
I don't know how well it works, because I wasn't interested
enough in HK racing to make a deposit.
The most attractive factor for those who want to bet?
Rebates.
I want to say in the region of 10%, but I'm sure it varies
with volume bet. Anyone interested should check them out.
Looks like a reputable bookmaking business, who isn't
afraid to offer some value to good players.
http://markread.com.au/
Btw, I have no interest in promoting them.
Just figure some HK players might benefit.

Thanks for the info. Worth a look, 'cause those rebates from TVG, Xpressbet and (soon to be) Twinspires suck.
I used to have an account with IASBETS (and Pinnacle) prior to the Feds cracking down. The IASBETs account offered fixed price wagering, which came in handy when betting Australian races and leaning towards chalk - since the NA pools were so, and continue to be, so small.
IASBETs closed my account, but did send me an email a couple of years ago by mistake, about getting a deposit match of some sort. Just teasing me.

Well everywhere is cracking down on US accounts, Bet365 and Markread would be possible options if they were available to you.

Yes, before the crackdown I was betting HK through IASBET.COM. That was a Mark Read company at the time. Never had a problem with that place.
I have never understood why most if not all the tote companies there block tote betting for USA customers on the racing side. Sports and casino betting I understand.
Thanks for the post horses4. This is a nice development !

Email dated 4-8-14
I'm not sure if anything has changed since then,
but here's a copy of an email I received from them.
Good luck to anyone giving it a try!

Because any website that takes any type of wager is breaking various US laws and they will throw operators in jail if they set foot on US soil.

Well aware of that.
Not everyone wants to visit the US, it seems.
