Workout "Prime Power?"

Anyone know of a service that assigns a value to a workout? An effective value would consider many criteria such as time/ distance/ rank/ track/ surface/ in company/ solo etc. etc.
My for instance here would be yesterdays 9th race at Los Al.
FTS Swift Nonni stuck out to me because I have a bad habit of studying the first horse or two in the pps before I tire or get bored.
Anyway I see Swift Nonni like everybody else with those smokin bullety works at Los Al. we have all seen over the years from even the youngest and cheapest.
I decided to look up that days work tab, which took some time, and found her last bullet work of 48 was well clear of the 2nd ranked horse (48.4) This separation prompted me to throw a fin her way.
In closing that particular work, with an effective workout rating would be tre valuable in terms of metrics and time.

jh

p.s. I know many will be thinking that I am lazy and studying every horse like the first one is what separates the winner and losers! Yes, but I for one would subscribe to a quality service for this.

Since you mentioned Los Al, two that do the S. California circuit are National Turf with Andy Harrington or Handicappers Report.

Both have samples at their sites. Both offer daily or subscription models.

The EquiSim program assigns a speed number to the workouts.
It will also flag Bullet Works.

Thanks for your responses.

1. Can't find that Equisim is still in biz.

2. If they are, does someone have the numerical value they assigned to Sweet Nonni's work?

From RDSS:

Had 2nd best last Work SR (90) and by far best Work Rank (WR) rating. Well spaced works pattern of a certain minimal set of speeds (*SAR)

Workout Speed Ratings, Training Patterns and Work Rank.

You are assuming a workout can be rated.
It can't.

Different trainers look for different things in a work.
There is no universal "value."

Tom is right works are very tricky many times the last work is a merely work to maintain condition if the trainer is sure the horse is in condition. So work will not be impressive at a glance but it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I agree with Tom.

My experience suggests that you should try to get familiar with how a trainer tends to work his horses (slow, fast, once a week, sparingly, what does he do with turf horses etc..) and look for tipoffs that the horse may be improving because he's working faster and/more more frequently than he normally does for that trainer.

I also think "in company" workouts have value for young horses. Trainers tend to try to put horses together that are at least similar in ability unless they are trying to teach the superior one to rate, relax etc..

Before American Pharoah had proven himself I remember being somewhat skeptical about some of the hype. I was less sure he was much better than Dortmund, Firing Line, Materiality etc.. Then I saw him work in company with a proven stakes horse that could Beyer close to 100. He as so dominant they looked like different species. I should have believed what I saw because I wound up betting Dortmund.
