Peggy Noonan phrases it so much more elegantly.
Quote:
Michael Cohen is, famously, a lowlife and screwball who’s made his living as an enforcer, liar and thug. He is going to prison essentially for these things. He has taken to implying his turning on Donald Trump is linked to an inner moral conversion, which may be true but is conveniently timed: He has nothing to lose and some form of leniency to gain.
But I found his testimony before the House Oversight and Reform Committee credible overall, and I suspect most everyone in America did, because no one, friend of the president or foe, love him or hate him, thinks Mr. Trump has a high personal character or an especially admirable back story. And that was Mr. Cohen’s subject.

All you need to know is Michael Cohen's lawyer, same as------>Hillary Clinton’s lawyer, Lanny Davis.

Will any of us live long enough to see the day when being a "lying crook" will no longer be a job requirement for our country's presidency?

I used to like Peggy Noonan, but she has far outlived her shelf-life.

People in a democracy get the government they deserve.

I've said that myself...but my right-leaning brethren here are always quick to remind me that ours isn't a "democracy".

Ah, that is your disconnect. We are a republic that makes use of democracy. Because of that our government is more self correcting with the mood of voters expressed in a pendulm that swings.

Presidency requirements are a tough operator, he or she who is not up for hardball need not apply.

Since when does playing "hardball" mean that you must be a "lying crook"?

Emmet Flood's area of expertise was the Impeachment process/proceedings, so one can easily see why Trump hired him for preventive measures, as there aren't too many Emmet Flood types walking around...
So with that said, what would be Lanny Davis's special area of expertise that Michael Cohen had to hire specifically him?.....Hmmmm...Take your time Ely.

willingness to work for free (no charge to Cohen) and ability to get obviously guilty people off very light or completely free

Too generic....That's not quite enough to a be "special" area of expertise.....Go further.

Your perception of not getting exactly what you want and when you want it have you skewed up. Barack Hussein Obama did not love this country, his was to implode it from within. Our Infrastructure prevents other forms of rule and sabotage without the pendulm swinging violently to counter change away from our way of life.

I'm guessing a lot of us will live long enough to see the day when the job requirements are expanded upon a bit.
As in not just a "lying crook."
And that goes for both sides.
