He just doesn't stop with the tweets. Maybe he's replaced his obsession of propositioning prostitutes with tweeting.

Why Crosby wasn't pulled out by a "concussion spotter" for a protocol evaluation raises a serious question in my mind about how sincere the NHL is on "concussions?"
He took a terrible crash into the end boards.
Making a pass from inside the opponent's blue line to a player outside of it suggests to me that he's just not functioning as he should be.

I am suspicious about his return, you don’t get over a concussion in 4 days.
You would think with the pending lawsuit, the NHL would make an attempt at cleaning this stuff up, the optics of this doesn’t look very good at all.

Now I've heard everything.
On Sportsnet this morning, John Shannon said:
The "Designated Concussion NHL Spotter"
1. Is not able to consider previous medical history
2. is not able to use end boards
for initiating the "Concussion Protocol."
Hence the "Concussion Spotter" last night was powerless to do anything about the Crosby collision.
The Spotter is only empowered to act for hits between players involving knees, shoulders, fists, elbows etc.
Therefore the onus on concussion evaluation comes down to the team trainer.
I'm astonished by that rule.

This is priceless, the one place on the ice where high velocity collisions occur, is not subject to the protocol. Players drive the net in full flight while under pressure from the defense and backcheckers, and one little miss step will send you launching into a fixed wall...... ya, there’s no need to initiate the protocol there.
Players with previous concussions are 10 times more likely to receive another concussion than a player that has never had one..... ya, there’s no need to keep track of previous concussions, go tell that to the parents of Wade Belak, Bob Probert, Derek Boogard, Rick Rypien and Steve Montador.
The NHL does not give a flying f*ck about concussions.

Jonathan Bombulie ✔ @BombulieTrib
Sidney Crosby on the ice at the beginning of practice Tuesday
9:01 AM - 9 May 2017
Come Tuesday morning, Crosby would be on the ice for practice, so it’s safe to assume that he did not fail any type of concussion-testing that may or may not have happened

The NFL cares a little because they have been forced to care a little. That little is still light years ahead of the NHL.

Agree. Do you think the players in these two sports will ever be forced into signing waivers?

At some point I would think they will have to do that. All the rules in the world aren't going to eliminate concussions in those two sports.

The road teams have certainly held an advantage this season in the playoffs, which is very unusual.
We shall see if the Ducks and Caps can shake the Ghost of Bruce Boudreau.
