The Meadowlands hold must be attributed on online sports betting. as far as i know, The Meadowlands got the jump on Monmouth with the online business. they aggressively signed up as many people as they could, before they even had online gambling by matching deposits for new customers.

Betfair knows how to market product better than William hill to the us market.
Every weekend we get an infomercial on TVG for fan duel touting games to encourage betting. It’s wonderful marketing to a niche audience.
Betfair had a ready made platform in TVG to market.

If the leagues don’t settle, they will have to unseal their reports that Judge Shipp based his TRO on.
So they took,a long shot and appealed to SCOTUS.
They really don’t want those reports unsealed.
Once SCOTUS rebuffs the writ of certiorari.
The leagues will be forced to settle unless they want their reports to become public knowledge.
Shipp, did his best to protect the leagues however it doesn’t look like the leagues will win this round.

Was at Presque Isle Downs recently to see their sports betting product and couldn't have been more disappointed. Only one Super Bowl prop (who will score first TD)? And dealing minus 113 for college bball sides and totals? That is not a playable game, IMO, and if this is a sign of things to come, it will be doomed. The offshores may have nothing to worry about.

The betamerica brand. Almost as good as betfair. Lol
They don’t have a clue of how to run a Sportsbook.
All you have to go to the meadowlands Sportsbook and see how a good one is run.

how dumb are both Meadowlands and Monmouth to bring in partners like William Hill and Fan Duel. why can't they book the sports themselves without having to give up over $50 million so far?
i know the answer, they probably sold their souls to the devils before they had the sports gambling. its just another gaf that race tracks have made like with simulcasting where the bet taker makes a bigger piece than the host that is distributing the product

They probably feel that the bookmaking business carries some tail end risks of catastrophic losses, and laying the action off to major companies who are prepared to bear such losses is prudent business.
